A little bit on me & my background:
I love writing and feel so fortunate to have had so many and different writing opportunities. From interviews, to feature stories, to research, I feel every aspect of the writing process is a new adventure.
My freelance writing portfolio includes both online and print assignments for various clients. Currently, I write for Mightier Content and produce news blogs for multiple law firms. I wrote for five years for the national website Examiner.com & two years for CBS Miami. My articles are published in numerous local magazines include Carolina Weddings Magazine, Winston-Salem Monthly Magazine, Wilmington Parent Magazine, Piedmont Parent Magazine, Carolina Parent Magazine, and Forsyth Family Magazine. I’m a frequent blogger for the popular local mom site, Triad Moms on Main. I’ve written several articles for CBS Small Business Pulse covering issues important to small business owners. Winston-Salem is a wonderful community to live and work in and I greatly enjoy living here. I currently serve on Triad ABC Board. I previously served on the Recreation and Parks Commission of Winston-Salem board, on the marketing committee of the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem and was the VP of Public Relations on the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications & Psychology from Coker University (previously named Coker College) and a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I love giving back to my Alma mater as well, and currently serve on the Alumni Association Board at Coker University.

My current & past work in Marketing, Communication & Public Relations included:
- Founder and Co-owner of a marketing & PR company, Across the Horizons, with my sister Sandy Harper from 2011 to 2020
- Managing SEO, social media, and client relations at the marketing agency conversionMOXY from 2017 to 2019
- Running the marketing department at the organizational consulting firm The Hayes Group International from 2011 to 2017
- Handling marketing, social media, Pay-Per-Click campaigns, and website analytics for Topsider Homes from 2007 to 2011
- Writing press releases, creating newsletters and taking photographs at events at Coker College from 2003 to 2005
- Currently manage social media and all marketing efforts at Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park in Winston-Salem, since 2019.
Lastly, and most importantly, I have a lovely 15-year-old daughter who loves volleyball, fashion design, art, and cooking! We just finished her third year of homeschooling and loving the educational journey! I married the love of my life in May 2021!

Madi Rogers
My name is Madi Rogers and I am a junior at Davie High School. I love to write, read, and will always take any opportunity to be creative! I have been a part of a competition dance team for 10 years, as well as being a part of my high school dance team. My favorite book is Divergent by Veronica Roth but I enjoy any and all books in the science fiction genre! I love to travel and learn about new places. In the future, I would love to pursue a career in writing or law and continue to travel the world as much as possible.
Sarah Fielders
My name is Sarah. I am a freshman in high school and am currently homeschooled by my mom. I love to learn. Some things I like to do are play volleyball, draw, and play with my two cats! I have an allergy to nuts and strawberries. My favorite subject is history. I would like to be a criminal attorney.
